"If I were to be pitched an episodic streaming comedy series that was only 10 minutes per episode, I would have laughed out loud at such a ridiculous concept. I gleefully admit how wrong I was because it is being done! Think if SCHITT'S CREEK and TALES OF THE CITY had a baby, and you’ll have BREAK A HIP."

"An authentic sense of place as well as a stirring performance by Allison Janney leading an impressive cast. What’s amazing about Janney’s portrayal is that this is only the beginning of what develops into one of the most fully realized female characters in recent American film.”

MIRAMAX FILMS presents the feature film directing debut of actor Cameron Watson. Produced as an independent feature by GADA Films and distributed by Miramax, OUR VERY OWN chronicles the daily hopes and dreams of high schoolers and their parents in a small Tennessee town, circa 1978. Shelbyville is the real-life home not only of Watson, who wrote the script from his own recollections, but also of actress Sondra Locke -- or as the townspeople know her, "our very own Sondra Locke." The events take place in the days leading up to the town's annual horse show, where it is rumored Locke will return as a special guest. As five local teenagers chase their dreams around the town square, their parents battle wars of their own at home. It is a poignant, funny and deeply moving story about the elusiveness of dreams and the fragility of the human heart.
